CAPACITOR

DEFINATION :-

A capacitor is made by using a dielectric material between two or more independent conductor plates.
The capacity of a capacitor depends on the number of plates, thickness of the dielectric material, distance between the plates, size of the plates and the dielectric material used.

There are three main types of capacitors:-

1.Fixed capacitor

2.Semi Variable capacitor

3.Variable capacitor.

1.Fixed capacitor

The capacity of the capacitor cannot be increased or decreased. Based on the dye-electric material used in it, its name is as follows.-
paper capacitor
mica capacitor
ceramic capacitor
Dielectric and wet electronic capacitors

2.Semi Variable capacitor

The value of this type of capacitor can be increased or decreased by rotating the screw attached to it with the help of a screw driver.
According to capacity, these are of two types:
– 3PF to 30 PF and 4PF to 70 PF are called trimmers.
– Peder are available with capacity of 400PF, 750PF, 1000PF.

3.Variable capacitor

These are also called gang capacitors. Its value can be increased or decreased easily.
